LF trying to "hush up" Nandigram killing : Dipankar

Kolkata, May 9 (UNI) CPI(ML-Liberation) general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharjee today alleged that the Left Front government was trying to ''hush up'' the real facts of Nandigram by calling an all-party meeting.

'' We also want peace in the state, but the government should not bypass the issue of mass killing and arrest the culprits, '' Mr Bhattacharjee told in a news conference here.

When Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee had owned moral responsbility of the March 14 incident, he should step down from his position and render apology to the people, he stated.

He also alleged that both Mr Bhattacharjee and Ms Mamata Banerjee were indulging in narrow politics about the all party meeting.

Mr Bhattacharjee called for forming a concerted opposition to effectively counter the Left Front.
