Independent files nomination for Hamirpur by-polls

Hamirpur, May 9 (UNI) Mr Amin Chand of Doohak village of Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh today filed his nomination papers for the Lok Sabha by-polls that are to be held on June two.

Mr Chand filed his nomination papers in the office of the Returning Officer at Hamirpur on the second day of the filing of the papers.

The last date for filing the nomination is May 15, while scrutiny of papers would take place on the next day and candidates could withdraw their papers till May 18.

The BJP's candidate for Hamirpur constituency P K Dhumal would file his nomination papers either on may 13 or 14, while the Congress Party's candidate Ram Lal Thakur would file his nomination papers on May 12.
