Bangalore, May 9 (UNI) Karnataka Governor T N Chaturvedi has accorded assent to the Karnataka Land Revenue (second amendment) Bill 2005, providing public auctioning of government properties.

The Raj Bhavan in a release here tonight said the Bill, which was earlier passed by the two Houses of State Legislature, was returned to the government by the Governor asking it to make a specific inclusion of a clause in the bill that heritage sites and buildings or relics shall not be disposed under the Act.

The Bill was later re-introduced in the two Houses with the inclusion of the specific clause and now had been accorded assent to pave its way to become an Act, the release said.
