Fiancee burnt

Harda(MP), May 9 (UNI) In a fit of rage, a tribal youth set ablaze his pregnant fiancee, who was hospitalised with serious burns.

Police said following some altercation Poonam Gond poured kerosene on Sunita(17) and set her ablaze on Monday at village Rabang in this district's Timarni tahsil. She was immediately rushed to a hospital in neighbouring Betul district.

The marriage of Poonam and Sunita was to be solemnised later this week. Poonam was residing with his fiancee at the latter's house and Sunita was pregnant.

Poonam was arrested yesterday and a case lodged at Rahatgaon police station.
