DUJ calls for end to 'Murdochisation'
New Delhi, May 9 (UNI) The Delhi Union of Journalists today regretted that the sensitive newspaper industry was being ''increasingly endangered by foreign collaborations that are already having serious repurcussions on job security'' and called upon the Government to intervene.
Terming the trend as 'Murdochisation', the DUJ warned that it is infecting the media in various guises and has resulted in retrenchments too.
In an emergency meeting, the body called upon the Government to immediately end the ''jungle laws'' and act to restore the jobs of the affected newspersons.
