James Laine's book should be burnt: Uddhav

Pune, May 9: Shiv Sena Executive President Uddhav Thackery today said the book 'Shivaji, Hindu King in Islamic India' written by James Laine, should be burnt if it were found anywhere in Maharashtra. He was here to inaugurate the 'Sena Bhavan' in the busy Deccan Gymkhana area.He criticised Maharashtra Home Minister R R Patil for not handing the issue properly. Earlier, Sena supremo Balasaheb Thackeray had also called upon the Sainiks to burn the book.

The High Court has, however, removed the ban on the book in its judgement delivered last month.
