AAPSU, ACR plead for removing disparities in border areas

Itanagar, May 9 (UNI) The All Arunachal Pradesh Students' Union (AAPSU) and the Arunachal Citizen Rights (ACR) have urged the Centre to design a prospective development plan and evolve a mechanism involving the state government, civil societies and MPs in order to diffuse the anti-national tendencies among the educated and unemployed youths of the state.

In a joint statement here today, AAPSU president Kanu Bagang and ACR chairperson Bamang Anthony said that there is a total deprivation in the field of education, health, water supply and access to information to the indigenous people of the state living in border areas.

While stating that every citizen of India, including people living in these border areas, are also equally responsible for safeguarding the Constitution of India and the security of individuals and state, both the organizations added that their basic rights and requirements cannot be ignored in the name of national security.
