Two UT teachers selected for professional programme in US

Chandigarh May 8 (UNI) Two English teachers of Government schools, Chandigarh, have been selected for United States Department of States Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs sponsored six weeks professional development programme at University of California, Los Angeles.

Ms Neerja Jain, Lecturer, Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 19-C and Ms Mandeep Merchant, TGT, Government Model Senior Secondary school, Sector 23 A, have been selected by United States Educational Foundation in India (USEFI).

As many as 13 secondary school English teachers from India would be participating in this programme to be held from June 26 to August 5.

The teachers will learn advanced methodologies for teaching English and explore latest technologies being applied to teaching and learning.
