SSP suspends two policemen

Amritsar, May 8 (UNI) Amritsar SSP Vijay Partap Singh today suspended two policemen including an ASI on charges of dereliction of duty.

Giving details, the SSP said that the action was taken after he conducted a surprise check at Gate Hakima chowki last night. Besides the ASI, the chowki 'munshi' was also suspended.

Besides suspending the two policemen, the SSP also transfered the remaining 14-member staff at the chowki. A new staff has been posted in place.
