Same teacher posted at two different schools

Imphal, May 8 (UNI) The Democratic Students' Alliance of Manipur today alleged that the state education department has posted the same teacher in two different schools.

DESAM Secretary Santosh said there were discrepancies in the transfer and posting of teachers in the state. Teachers were posted in schools where ever their subjects were taught.

The government had recently appointed more than 600 school teachers and all adhoc teachers were terminated from service.

The DESAM said they had discovered that a teacher seemed to teaaching in two different schools.

It may be a clerical mistake, but was causing lot of confusion, Mr Santosh said.

DESAM has urged the government to effectively check the transfer and the posting of teachers.

Some schools had more teachers than students, while some schools were running without a headmaster, it was further pointed out.
