'Listening Post' to start functioning from tomorrow

New Delhi, May 8 (UNI) In an attempt to promote an open and people-friendly Grievance and Redressal System, a 'Listening Post', under the patronage of Lt Governor Tajender Khanna, will start operating in the National capital from tomorrow.

The Grievance and Redressal System will be in addition to all existing Departmental arrangements for disposal of public grievances, which will continue to function, a spokesperson said.

Citizens will be able to access the post by dialing 155355 24-hours-a-day.

People can register their grievances pertaining to security, law and order, traffic violations, encroachment of government land, deficiencies in civic services and others.

Feedback on three parameters-- Integrity, courtesy and efficiency will be considered in providing legitimate assistance, in respect of public servants with whom they happen to interact while seeking a service.

The post will inform the citizens as soon as the required remedial action has been taken by agency concerned, he added.
