Jharkhand Front reconstituted for Greater Jharkhand
Jamshedpur, May 8 (UNI) Jharkhand People's Party (JPP) general secretary Surya Singh Besra today convened the Jharkhand-named parties and mass organisations to come under the ambit of Jharkhand Front to intensify movement for creation of greater Jharkhand comprising tribal districts of Orissa, West Bengal and Chhatisgarh.
Mr Besra said the Jharkhand Front was reconstitued today at a meeting here in which apart from JPP, the leaders of Jhakrhand Party and Jharkhand Party (Naren) participated.
He said JP president N E Horo, JP (N) president Chunibala Hansda, MLA, and JPP chief B P Keshri were appointed as the presidents of the Front while C R Manjhi (general secretary of JP), Shailendra Maithy (general secretary of JP-N) and S S Besra would represent the Front as the convenors.
Mr Besra said the meeting also adopted resolutions to form a third front as an alternative political force in the state which would be keeping equal distance with the NDA and the UPA as well.
He said the Jharkhand Front would also launch ''Jan Jagaran Abhiyan'' (Mass movement) with the like minded parties under a common minimum programme.
