Govt to open schools in Bihar on Netarhat pattern

Patna, May 8: With a view to giving a filip to school education in Bihar, the state government has decided to open two residential schools at Simultalla and Dehri-on-sone on the pattern of Netarhat school in Jharkhand.

Official sources said here yesterday that Rs 50 lakh had been earmarked in the budget for the construction of school buildings.

Both schools would provide quality education to the students, sources added.

Stating the government programmes for improving the academic atmosphere and providing quality education to the students, sources said the goverenment had proposed to invest Rs 8121.40 lakh in the districts for educational uplift of the downtrodden.

The government had opened military schools at Nalanda and Gopalganj to develop characteristic, psychological and defence skill among the students and also decided to recruit qualified teachers to further improve the education system in the state.
