Cambridge Certification for MAAC Animators

Chandigarh, May 8 (UNI) Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics (MAAC) here has tied up with the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE).

According to Naveen Gupta, COO, the animators qualifying from MAAC now shall have world-wide acceptability with the CIE certification.

''University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) is a part of Cambridge Assessment and world's largest provider of international qualifications for 14-19 year olds. Every year, millions of students appear for CIE examinations - including the International GCSE, O Level and Cambridge Pre-U in over 150 different countries, he said.

''Our evaluation has indicated that MAAC is a highly professional organisation, offering a portfolio of highly credible programmes to India's future animators, and MAAC is uniquely placed to provide the personnel needed to fuel this growth, both domestically and abroad,'' stated CIE's Validation Manager, Gen Gibbs.

MAAC, the academic arm of Maya Entertainment Limited, started its operations in Chandigarh and had expanded to more than 50 training centers in India, Singapore, Abu Dhabi, Nepal, and London.

It was training about 6,000 students in 3D animation, visual effects and other related skills, Mr Gupta said.
