Bihar man shot dead

Guwahati, May 8 (UNI) A person of Bihar origin was shot dead at Mathghoria area, under Noonmati police station, in the city this evening.

Police said Prabhat Singh, who was engaged in miscellaneous works in the city, was shot dead by Manish Sudershan.

Manish is also from Bihar and had arrived in the city recently.

The public nabbed him when he attempted to escape after killing Prabhat.

He was handed over to Government Railway Police personnel, on duty nearby, who, in turn, handed him to the Noonmati police station.

Personal feud was suspected to be the reason behind the killing and interrogation of the accused was on, police added.
