Chandigarh, May 8 (UNI) Three Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leaders today expressed concern over the reported ''intimate relationship'' between former chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh and Pakistani journalist Ms Aroosa Alam.

In a joint statement issued here Parliamentary Secretaries Jagdeep Nakai and Nand Lal and former Minister Sikander Singh Malooka claimed that the relationship between the former chief minister and Ms Alam had serious implications on the security of the country. The nation had a right to know the truth about this relationship, the statement demanded.

The SAD leaders claimed that they had authentic evidence of the 'nikah' (marriage) of Capt Singh with the Pakistani scribe and they would reveal this with evidence to the public at the appropriate time.

The Akali leaders said it was unfortunate that Union Home Ministry as well as Ministry of External Affairs did not take notice of media reports that Ms Alam was an ISI agent.

''Ms Alam in fact threw all foreign national regulations to the winds as Amarinder, who was then the chief minister, ''graciously'' took her to the national capital and also to Jaipur, Jaisalmer and Ajmer,'' the statement said while claiming that she did not have a visa to visit these places.

They demanded a thorough inquiry into the breach of security by a Pakistan national.
