Six US troops, journalist killed north of Baghdad
BAGHDAD, May 6 (Reuters) Six American soldiers and a journalist were killed in a roadside bomb attack in volatile Diyala province north of Baghdad today, the US military said.
In a statement, the military said the bomb struck a vehicle that the soldiers and the journalist were travelling in.
It gave no details on the journalist, but many foreign reporters have been embedding with US military units during a security crackdown in and around Baghdad that began in February.
