Quake shakes Meghalaya
Shillong, May 7 (UNI) An earthquake of moderate intensity hit Meghalaya's capital Shillong today.
The tremor, measuring 5.0 on the Richter Scale, occurred at 1128 hours(IST) with its epicentre at 94.4 degree East longitude and 23.2 degree North latitude in the Myanmar region, about 300 kms from southeast of Shillong Central Seismological office at Upper Shillong.
Central Seismological Observatory officials told UNI that there were no reports of any casualty or loss of property in the incident.
