New Delhi, May 7: The Lok Sabha was adjourned for the third time day today till 1500 hrs as the Congress, RJD, Samajwadi Party and Left party members persisted in creating noisy scenes in the House over the alleged fake encounters in the BJP-ruled state of Gujarat.

As the House reassembled at 1400 hrs after two adjournments on the same issue earlier, Mr Ramji Lal Suman(SP) stood up seeking to raise the issue of fake encounters by police calling it a violation of human rights.

Initially, Deputy Speaker Charjit Singh Atwal did not allow the member to raise the issue but when Congress and RJD members also joined in the demand, Mr Atwal relented and allowed the member to raise the issue briefly.

Samajwadi Party and Congress members blamed the Narendra Modi Government and the BJP for sheilding the police officers responsible for fake encounters and demanded the resignation of the Modi Government.

With Congress and SP members adamant on raising a furore over the demand of the resignation of Gujarat government, the Deputy Speker adjourned the House till 1500 hrs.

Earlier, the House witnessed two adjournments, first till 1200 hrs and thereafter till 1400 hrs as unruly scenes prevailed with both the ruling and opposition members seeking to raise various issues all at once defying the Chair. As soon as the Lok Sabha assembled at 1100 hrs, Congress members led by Mr Madhusudan Mistry stood up accusing the Gujarat Govenment of shielding the pollticians and police officers responsible for heinous killings of Soharabuddin and his wife Kauser Bi.

The Congress members were joined by Mohammed Saleem (CPI-M), other Left members and Mr Ramji Lal Suman(SP), all of whom charged the Gujarat Government with communal bias and violation of human rights, This was countered by BJP members, led by Mr V K Malhotra who charged the CPI-M Government in West Bengal of killing of innocent protestors in Nandigram. This further led to a furore in the House forcing its adjournment till 1200 hrs.

When the House reassembled, there was an uproar again after some time with Mr Suman and Mr Mistry seeking to raise the Gujarat issue.

Mr Malhotra wanted to move a privilege motion against Shipping Minister T R Balu for what he called misleading the House over Setu Samudram issue claiming it as sub judice while the Speaker had ruled that it was not so.

Disorder prevailed when BJP members trooped into the well of the House and Tamil Nadu MPs surged towards the well forcing the Chair to adjourn the House till 1400 hrs.
