Gujarat based man rescued, one held
Lucknow, May 7 (UNI) The Etah district police today arrested an abductor and rescued a Gujarat-based man from his clutches.
On April 25, one Poonam Bhai Patel was kidnapped by armed miscreants in Gujarat. Later, the accused had demanded a ransom of Rs 50 lakh.
Acting on a tip-off, cops reached the Railway colony in Kasganj area of Etah and rescued Poonam, police said.
The miscreant, identified as Ramsevak, tried to abscond but was arrested by the police. The other accused are still absconding.
On interrogation, the accused, a fruit seller by profession, confessed the crime.
A hunt for the other accused was on.
