Former UNI scribe passes away

Bhopal, May 7 (UNI) Senior journalist and former UNI senior correspondent Ashok Verma today passed away following a heart attack at John Hopkins hospital, Baltimore, in the US.

Verma, 59, is survived by his wife and a son.

Verma served as a senior correspondent in the UNI Bhopal office for several years and later went to the US in the early 1990s where he was presently working as a senior correspondent with the Delaware News Journal.

A native of Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh, Verma began his journalistic career from Jabalpur-based Narmada Herald.
