Constable died in stampede

Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh, May 7 (UNI) A police constable was killed and a Sub Inspector seriously injured in a stampede that took place during Radhotsavam in Jammalamadugu town here today.

Police said the constable Subbanna was crushed to death under chariot at 'Venkateswara Swami "Radhotsavam" organised here.

The SI S B Basha was seriously injured while tried to protect the constable, who stucked under the chariot.

The two cops were assigned duty at the radhotsavam. Stampede occurred as people flooded at the Chariot in a short span of time.

However, no civilians were injured in the stampede.

UNI
