Tripura CID files report against two retired officers

Agartala, May 6 (UNI) The CID of Tripura today filed corruption charges against two retired police officers.

CID officials here said they had filed the charges against the Commandant of Tripura State Rifles' (TSR) 4th Battalion, P L Bidhu, and Deputy Commandant Shital Saha following thorough investigation.

The CID had also sought government approval for further proceedings, officials added.

Both the officers were found guilty of misusing public funds in 2003, which were sanctioned for the construction work of the battalion headquarters, officials stated.
