Relatives await news about Kenya Airways crash victims

Kochi, May 6 (UNI) Anxious relatives of Malayalee couple Kevin and Shirely, who were aboard the Kenya Airways plane which crashed in Cameroon yesterday, said they were still awaiting official information about their whereabouts.

Shirley's cousin Jaqueline Rodrigues and her husband Aedren, who stay here, said Kevin and Shirely were expected in India next week.

Their two sons stay in Bangalore.

''We have been in touch with our nephews in Bangalore but they also do not have any official information. Because of heavy rains in the crash site, a clear picture has not yet emerged about the crash victims. We are praying for them to be safe,'' Jaqueline said.

She said two of Shirley's brothers, in Africa, were trying to reach the accident site.
