NMPT receives its first 60-container rake

Mangalore, May 6 (UNI) New Mangalore Port Trust (NMPT) Railway has received first full rake of 60 containers (TEUS) at the Port Railway Marshalling Yard.

This is for the first time a rake carrying 60 containers from Chennai arrived at the marshalling yard yesterday. This would meet the requirement of the Exporters. The entire consignment was unloaded and shifted to the container stackyard in a record two hours. These containers are meant for Maersk India, NMPT Chairman P Tamilvanan said in a release here today.
