Man gets 3 yrs RI for robbing Rs 10,000

Akola, May 6: A man has been sentenced to three years rigorous imprisonment for looting Rs 10,000 from a sweet mart store at knife point.

Delivering the sentence yesterday, Judge A A Ghanwale imposed a fine of Rs 1,000 on Bhagya alia Bhagwan Walmik Bhalerao.

On Oct 22, last year, the accused had decamped with the booty from the shop of Subhasinh Hakumsinh Bhati. During investigations, the knife used in the crime and Rs 600 were recovered from the accused.
