Last phase to decide fate of many leaders
Azamgarh, May 6 (UNI) Fate of many prominent parties and their candidates will be decided in this district in the seventh and last phase of Uttar Pradesh Assembly election.
In the 10 constituencies of the district, four are being fought between Samajwadi Party, Bahujan Samaj Party, Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress, and former Chief Minister Ram Naresh Yadav, Pachayati Raj minister Balaram Yadav and former minister Sukhdev Rajbhar are in the fray.
Sagdi assembly constituency is the most crucial as Sarwesh Singh alias Seepu Singh, son of former SP minister Ram Pyare and a close associate of SP chief secretary Amar Singh, and BJP president Rajnath Singh's personal secretary Bahadur Singh are contesting from here.
Both the candidates are contesting against sitting MLA and BSP candidate Malik Masood.
Apart from the party leaders, cinestars from both parties have conducted several rounds of election meetings in favour of their candidates.
The parties are leaving no stone unturned to capture this seat which was either won by either the SP or BSP for more than a decade.
