Lanji MLA passes away

Bhopal, May 6 (UNI) BJP legislator from Lanji, Dilip Bhatere died today at a hospital in Nagpur.

Bhatere, 52, is survived by wife, three sons and two daughters.

Family sources said he complained of chest pain at his residence in Bolegaon village of Balaghat district last night.

He was rushed to Balaghat district hospital and was shifted to Nagpur this morning.

According to doctors at hospital in Nagpur, Bahtere suffered brain hemorrhage while he was being treated. He breathed his last at 0115 hours.

According to state BJP headquarters, Bhatere's body would be taken to his home village Bolegaon by this evening.

The body will then be kept for people to pay their last respects till tomorrow morning.

The last rites will be performed with full state honours tomorrow, they said.
