JD(U) ridicules Rabri's demand

Patna, May 06 (UNI) The Janata Dal(U) today ridiculed former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi's demand of a whitepaper on the law and order situation in the state.

JD(U) general secretary Ravindra Singh said here that the government should not give any credence to the demand as the criminals used to get maximum "political mileage" during the Rabri Devi regime.

He alleged that organised crime was at its peak during her regime and the previous government patronised criminals.

The FIRs were even lodged at the mercy of the criminals during her regime, he also alleged and said the situation had now changed and neither were the criminals enjoying state patronage nor was police action against them being obstructed.

He claimed that organised crime in Bihar was fully under control and said police had been given free hand for taking action against the criminals.

He said the investors were showing intreset in Bihar only because of the changed scenario.

He said instead of issuing statements just for the sake of criticism, the Leader of Opposition should get herself acquainted with the facts.
