Indian ambasssador to Oman recieves honour

Dubai, May 6: Outgoing Indian Ambassador to Oman Ahosk Kumar Attri has been confered upon the prestigious Al Numan Order of First Class by the Sultan of Oman Qaboos bin Said.

The Order has been presented to Mr Attri as a token of appreciation of his efforts in strengthening the bilateral relations between the two nations.

The special honour was conferred when the ambassador called on the Sultan to bid farewell at the end of his tour of duty in Muscat.

Mr Attri thanked the Sultan for the support extended to him during his stay in Oman, saying the valuable co-operation enabled him to discharge his duties.

He wished the Sultan good health and happiness and continued progress and prosperity to the people of Oman under his rule.

The ceremony was attended by Minister for Foreign Affairs Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah.
