Death toll in blast in private factory rises to four

Bangalore, May 6 (UNI) With two more people succumbing to injuries in hospital today, the death toll in yesterday's blast at Riddhi Siddhi Starch Factory at Gokak has risen to four.

In all 27 people were injured when an explosion took place at a maze starch plant that ripped off the major portion of the plant.

Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Shankara Bidri, who visited the plant and injured in the hospital said stringent action would be taken for negligence in providing safety measures at the factory.
