Congress MLAs oppose supply of water to steel plant

Hyderabad, May 6 (UNI) City Congress legislators Marri Sasidhar Reddy and P Janardhana Reddy, popularly known as 'Hyderabad Brothers' today alleged that the government was trying to supply water to the steel plant being built in Kadapa through Pothireddipadu head regulator.

Talking to newspersons here, they said if this happened, it would adversely affect the interests of the farmers in the Rayalaseema region and urged the Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy to render justice to all regions of the state.

They were critical of the government's policies and supported the statement of the party MLA Sankar Rao who was issued a show-cause notice for making adverse remarks against party leadership.

Sankara Rao who was not included in the recent cabinet expansion, said he would take up the matter with Sonia Gandhi.
