CM appeals to people to liberally donate to CMRF

Hyderabad, May 6 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy has appealed to the people to liberally donate to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund (CMRF).

An official release here today said the Chief Minister had directed the officials concerned to provide necessary relief under CMRF to the poor and the needy as the state government was fully committed to the welfare of the poor.

While Rs 30 crore was sanctioned during the previous TDP regime, over Rs 153 crore was sanctioned to 51,542 patients in between May 2004 to 2007, the release added.
