Brown Sugar worth 8 lakh seized

Muzaffarnagar, May 6 (UNI) A miscreant was arrested and brown sugar, estimated at Rs 8 lakh in the international market was seized from his possession in this district of Uttar Pradesh.

Acting on a tip-off, cops reached the Khatauli area and nabbed Nadeem late last night.

On being frisked, 800 gm brown sugar worth Rs 8 lakh and 250 gm charas was recovered from his possession.

On interrogation, the accused confessed of being an agent of Arif and Gulam in Baramula of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.
