Woman officer arrested while accepting bribes
Aurangabad, May 5 (UNI) Bihar Vigilance sleuths today arrested a lady supervisor of a local Child Development Scheme while accepting bribe from an Anganwadi assistant applicant.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (Vigilance) Maharaja Kanisk Kumar Singh said the applicant Rani Devi had filed a complaint that Nilima Kumari was demanding Rs 4000 from her to issue an appointment letter. The sleuths, acting on the tip off, laid a trap and arrested Nilima Kumari red-handed while accepting 'marked' money from the applicant at the former's office.
He said Rs 30000 in cash was also recovered from her residence.
