Tohra's wife refuses to accept SGPC's Car and domestic help

Patiala, May 5 (UNI) Joginder Kaur Tohra, wife of former president of SGPC late Gurcharan Singh Tohra, today has refused to accept facilities of a chauffeur-driven car and domestic helps extended to her by SGPC.

In a written statement issued here today, Mrs Tohra said that she was grateful to the SGPC president Avatar Singh Makkar for extending her the facilities but she did not need these things.

The SGPC chief Avatar Singh Makkar had yesterday announced to give a car with one driver along with two women mates to look after Mrs Tohra.

Mrs Tohra said that her husband Gurcharan Singh Tohra did not any facility in his 26 years tenure as the president of SGPC.

''He had neither taken car nor claimed any TA/DA from SGPC'', said Joginder Kaur.

She said that if SGPC really wanted to serve me they should utilise money to be spent on me in shape of Car etc for the betterment of Sikh panth. She said that the money should be spent on educational institutions being run by SGPC.
