Temperature dips in 'Blazewada'

Vijayawada, May 5 (UNI) Despite a slight fall in temperature today, the residents of this coastal city had no reprieve from oppressive heat, with the maximum temperature recorded at 39.5 deg c as against 39.7 deg c yesterday.

A met official told uni here that the mercury was likely to rise further tomorrow along with severe hot wind conditions.

Though the heat continued until the evening, there was cool breeze during night time giving some relief to the people who sweated under severe humidity.

Matinee shows in cinema halls were packed.

The minimum temperature recorded was 26.5 deg c, the official added.
