Sugar prices decline on poor demand
Mumbai, May 5 (UNI) Sugar prices declined today on poor demand, traders at the Bombay Sugar Merchants' Association said.
Sugar in small and medium grades fell by Rs ten per quintal each on sluggish demand by bulk consumers.
Sugar in ex-mill small and medium grades also fell by Rs seven and Rs five respectively due to the absence of fresh demand.
Following are the spot wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,310/1,350, Medium grade: Rs 1,340/1,415, Ex-mill: Small grade: Rs 1,283/1,315, Medium grade: Rs 1,300/1,350.
