Thiruvananthapuram, May 4 (UNI) Kerala Health Minister P K Sreemathi today said she had talked with Union Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss on telephone and appraised him about the latest developments and measures taken by the state government to tide over the crisis arised out following the infant deaths reported at a government run hospital in the capital.

''The Union Health Minister is fully satisfied with the measures taken by the state government in this regard and extended all cooperation to the government's efforts to find a solution to this issue'', she told UNI.

She said the Union Minister had also informed her that the issue was related with the state government alone and it could be tackled.

Ms Sreemathy said the government had not received any communication from Union Minister for Women and Child Welfare Renuka Choudhary asking the state government to submit a detailed report about the circumstances under which a large number of infants died due to bacterial infection in the government hospital.

The government got the information only through medias, she added.

However, the government would sent a detailed report to the Minister and a copy to the Union Health Minister tomorrow, she said.

On the remarks against the Health Minister by Ms Choudary, Ms Sreemathy said the Union Minister had wrongly taken her statements and clarified that she had not made any remarks against the Minister.

On the demand for her resignation by various political leaders and the opposition, she said ''we are not giving much attention to their demands now and our main aim and effort is to free the hospitals from infections''.
