Son, mother get life imprisonment for killing step-mother

Doda, May 5 (UNI) A Sessions Court today awarded life imprisonment to a mother-son duo for killing his step-mother in their field at village Malhori in this district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Principal Session Judge Bhaderwah S K Jamwal, after hearing the both public prosecutor Fareed Hussain Baig and accused advocate Abdul Wahid, convicted Shiv Pal, son of late Faqir Singh, and his mother Raj Devi for killing Ganshama Devi on May 8, 1999 over some property dispute.

The court observed that the facts presented by the prosecution were true.

Ganshama Devi was murdered in full public view with an iron rod while she was working in her fields.
