Shilpa-Gere 'kiss' case adjourned for May 26
Jaipur, May 5: A local court has adjourned the hearing in the Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty and Hollywood actor Richard Gere kiss case till May 26, even as the complainant prayed before the court for issuance of bailable warrant against Shilpa following her failure to appear before the court today.
The court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Dinesh Kumar Gupta had issued arrest warrants against Gere and summons for appearing before the court on May 5 for Shilpa in a petition filed by a lawyer Poonam Chand Bhandari against them for commiting obscene act in public.
In the meantime, Mr Gupta had been transferred to Kishangarh and the case was today listed before the link magistrate Rajesh Tuteja who held that he requires time to study the case and adjourned the hearing till May 26.
