Ruling SP leader booked in murder case
Siddharthnagar, May 5 (UNI) Fourteen people, including a ruling Samajwadi Party (SP) zila panchayat member, were booked in a murder case in Sant Kabirnagar district of Uttar Pradesh today.
On May 1, Somai was burnt alive, while manufacturing illicit liquor in Uska village. Later, the accused allegedly buried his corpse without informing the police.
In this regard, 14 people, including SP ZP member Jairam Pandey and gram pradhan Prem Chand, have been booked on murder charges.
In the presence of district magistrate this morning, the body was exhumed and sent for a postmortem, police said.
