Reuters looks set to endorse Thomson offer - FT

NEW YORK, May 4 (Reuters) News and financial data provider Reuters looked set to endorse an offer from Canadian publisher Thomson Corp., the Financial Times reported on its Web site today.

The FT reported that Reuters appeared willing to recommend an offer from the Canadian company.

Reuters earlier today said it had received a takeover approach, but declined to name its suitor.
