Ratlam-Neemuch broad gauge to be inauguarted after UP assy polls

Ratlam, MP, May 5 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Agriculture Kantilal Bhuria today said the Ratlam-Neemuch broad gauge would inaugurated after the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections.

Mr Bhuria told reporters here that Railway Minister Lalu Yadav would be present on the occasion.

On Ratlam being placed in the 'C' category from the viewpoint of industrial development, he said the Centre would provide maximum help for industrial development of the district. However, it depend upon how much the government utilised the Centre's help.

He said he had helped in getting clearance for several schemes for the development of Ratlam and Jhabua.

This included the Rajiv Gandhi Electrification Scheme, under which Rs 70 crore had been allocated to the district. The scheme would connect 1,053 villages to power.

Mr Bhuria alleged that the BJP Government was lodging false cases against Congress workers. A protest would be launched in this district on May 16 in this regard. Several Congress leaders would participate in the protest.
