Rabri demands white paper on spurt in crimes
Patna, May 5 (UNI) Former Bihar chief minister and leader of the opposition in state assembly Rabri Devi today demanded from the Nitish government to issue white paper on the recent spurt in criminal activities in the state.
In a release issued here, Rabri Devi said that criminal activities had increased in the state during the past few days, despite tall claims by the NDA government on improvement in the law and order situation.
The murder of CPI(ML)leader in Dehri-on-sone and a contractor in Patna during the last two days, besides the recent spurt in kidnapping at various places in the state had proven the fact that the ground level situation was alarming, she added.
''Morale of the state police had stooped to an all time low position and terror reigned on the poor and the weaker sections of the society, instead of checking criminal activities,'' Rabri Devi added.
Charging Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar with playing into the hands of caucus of self seekers and sychophants, she said that most of the 1,900 proposals approved by the state cabinet had not been implemented so far.
