Man charred in godown fire in Sadar bazar
New Delhi, May 5 (UNI) A 72-year-old man was charred in a blaze that broke out this morning in a godown in the Central Delhi's wholesale market Sadar Bazar.
Fire department officials said Bhagwan Das, an employee at the godown storing disposable plates made of dried leaves, was found dead in the godown, located in Gali Barna near Bara Tuti of the market.
The blaze was reported at 1040 hrs and was controlled within an hour by six fire tenders.
The officials said a candle used by Bhagwan Das while making a business deal with a customer had started the fire.
