Kerala Health Minister should resign: IUML

Kozhikode, May 5: Pressure was mounting on Kerala Health Minister P K Sreemathi to step down owning responsibility for the death of many infants at a state-run hospital.

Talking to newspersons here today Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) Treasurer P K Kunhalikutty said Ms Sreemathy should tender her resignation owning the responsbility for the deaths of 38 children at the state run Sree Avittam Thrunal (SAT) Hospital in Thiruvananthpuram.

The main Opposition Congress, the BJP and many other political parties have also demanded her ouster from the V S Achuthanandan Cabinet.
