Interstate gangster arrested
New Delhi, May 5 (UNI) The Delhi police have arrested an interstate gangster involved in nearly ten heinous cases of murder, extortions and the arms act.
Rajbir alias Raju, a former employee of the BSF, was arrested yesterday from near Nazafgarh in West Delhi where he had gone to meet his associates.
A countrymade pistol of 315 bore and two live cartridges were recovered from his possession.
On interrogation, Rajbir, a resident of district Jhajjhar in Haryana, revealed that he was involved in ten heinous cases including seven murder cases in Haryana.
Rajbir joined BSF in 1985 and left it in 1997. The accused then formed his own 'Raju Gang' after quitting his job and was involved in many sensational cases related to murder, attempt to murder, extortion, arms act and land disputes.
The Haryana Police has been informed about Rajbir's arrest, police said.
