Hearing of Chandresh Shah's ABA adjourned till May 7
Mumbai, May 5 (UNI) A local court today adjourned till May 7 the hearing of Anticipatory Bail Application of estate broker Chandresh Shah, who approached the court fearing arrest in the Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA) disputed scheme, involving Hasina Parker, sister of Underworld don Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar.
The Additional Sessions Judge A V Nirgude adjourned the hearing to May 7.
According to the prosecution, Mr Shah has nexus with Hasina Parkar.
Sleuths of the Anti Extortion Cell (AEC) have registered a case of cheating and extortion against Hasina Parkar and seven others in disputed SRA case.
It may be recalled that a developer Vinod Avlani had lodged a complaint in August last year against builder Baba Shukla, Chandresh Shah, Parkar and five others, for allegedly joining hands to develop a slum cluster in Wadala under the SRA Scheme.
They allegedly took the proposal to Avlani, who introduced them to developer Jayesh Shah and he paid Rs one crore to them. When the project failed, Mr Shah asked Avlani to return his money.
Mr Avlani managed to get back Rs 70 lakh from some of the people.
Shukla, however, refused to pay the amount, saying he had nexus with Dawood-gang.
