Mysore, May 5 (UNI) Leading air hostess trainer, Frankfinn Institute of Air Hostess Training, has now become an exclusive cabin crew recruitment partner of low cost airliner Air Deccan.

Addressing the mediapersons Institute Managing Director Rakesh Agarwal, said the partnership, initially under a two year agreement, ensured that only those trained at Frankfinn would be recruited by Air Deccan. The programme would aim to meet the acute shortage of human resources in the aviation sector of the country.

The institute was in a position to guarantee at least 400 placements each year during the contract period from its 65 locations, he said.

He added the air travel boom had resulted in heavy demand for cabin crew, which was seven to ten times higher than current availability. At present, an average of 30 trained crew were required per aircraft, he said.

The number of air hostesses for the collective fleet strength was projected to be 900 by 2009 from the present 350, while Indian aviation sector secured 8,000 cabin crew per year, he said.
